How do we start
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to talk about your specific situation and needs, provide you with an idea for how I work, and address any of your initial questions. You can email me directly at email@example.com or contact me here to set up a time to talk.
If you’d like to move forward after your initial consultation, then we will set up your first face-to-face appointment. At your first session, we’ll talk more in depth about you, your situation, your hopes and goals for therapy, and we will begin to explore some steps forward.
How often do we meet
For therapy to be most effective, meeting weekly is the best option. Some clients choose to come in twice a week, particularly during times of crisis. The length of time you spend in therapy will depend on a number of factors, including: your individual situation and the issues that brought you in, the intensity of your symptoms, the pace at which you incorporate new insights and coping mechanisms, and any unforeseen events in your life that might arise during the course of treatment. We will consistently check in to assess your treatment goals and progress, and whether therapy is meeting your needs.
Do you take insurance
No, I am an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will likely reimburse you for the therapy sessions. This can range from 50% to 90% after meeting a deductible. Because every insurance plan is different, it is important to call and verify if you have mental health coverage, a deductible, and/or co-pay and co-insurance. I can provide you with an invoice called a “superbill” containing the relevant and necessary information required by insurance companies to process your claim.
