Individual Therapy
“Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.”
– Bréne Brown
If you’re reading this page, there is likely something going on in your life that is tough and causing you distress. It could be a recent event, a past trauma, or a pattern that keeps resurfacing. Whatever has led you here, individual therapy can give you relief from your symptoms and help you heal and grow by developing new and effective ways of coping.
Good therapy requires a strong relationship between therapist and client. In my office, you will find a respectful, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment. I am collaborative and client-centered, helping you make sense of your inner world while remaining focused on your therapy goals.
Your work will feel grounded and relevant. I recognize each person’s complexity, influenced by unseen forces such as cultural and societal pressures, family systems, and unique past and present experiences and relationships. I will tailor your therapy to you, incorporating your personal strengths and needs, and drawing from cutting-edge, scientifically-proven therapeutic models.
You’re not alone in whatever you are facing. One in five Americans confronts some kind of mental health crisis in their lifetime – with anxiety and depression being the most common. Stress and sadness can be insidious, seeping into every corner of life and taking a toll on everything – from your physical body, to your relational self/ability to connect with others, to your overall quality of life.
The good news is that it’s possible to start feeling better.
